Mission COHO: A Weekend of Discovering Lipa City, Batangas

You’d probably be wondering what is there to discover in Lipa City, Batangas. That was the same thought I have when The Orchard COHO invited us for a tour around lifestyle hubs of Lipa. With a mission to #DiscoverBeautiful and #DiscoverLipa, South Bloggers got on a full day of road trip, adventure, and fun! Read through for the highlights of our trip.

The Orchard COHO

The Orchard Coho project site is located at Brgy. Tibig, Lipa City, Batangas which is just about 10 minutes away from Tambo Exit of SLEX-Star tollway

We first toured The Orchard COHO‘s showroom which boasts its beautiful, stylish, and high-quality condominium model unit. COHO is Vista Land’s new brand for Condo Homes and The Orchard is Lipa City’s first full-fledged condominium. It is set to provide a lush and verdant ambiance complementing the distinct and new-generation COHO lifestyle experience to revitalize city-living.

COHO projects have 2 unit types: 30.36 sqm 1 Bedroom unit and 40.26 sqm 2 Bedroom unit.

Here’s a look inside their 1-bedroom model unit. This unit is impressive in terms of space maximization and intricately furnished by their in-house interior designers in partnership with their subsidiary company, All-Home.

The Orchard is a strategically located at Lipa’s of progressive downtown landscape. With prime hospitals, colleges and universities, and malls and food hubs, all within a walking distance or easily accessed through public transportation, you an never go wrong with it.

Below are some of the nearby establishments to the project site.

  • Malls: Robinson’s Place Lipa, SM Lipa, The Uptown, Big Ben Complex
  • Colleges and Universities: De La Salle Lipa, STI College, University of Batangas-Lipa, Batangas State University, Philippine State College of Aeronautics, Stonyhurst Southville International School

  • Transportation: Van Terminal to Balibago and Lipa City Grand Transport Terminal

The Orchard Coho is indeed an emerging lifestyle center in Lipa City perfect for young professional’s investment projects and urban living outside of Manila.

Café de Lipa

Just a 5-minute drive from The Orchard’s project site is a branch of the famous Café de Lipa! Cafe de Lipa is known for the glory of Kapeng Barako but is also now known to feature coffee bean products from different parts of the country.

With six branches within Lipa and Metro Manila, it is a suitable shop to enjoy coffee and sweets while working or bonding with your family and friends and updating your social media real-time with their strong and free wi-fi access.

San Sebastian Cathedral

Another famous spot to visit in Lipa which is just about 3.5 kilometers from The Orchard is the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian which is more known as San Sebastian Cathedral or simply Lipa Cathedral.

Not only it is a place for solitude of prayer and holy mass, but also of culture and heritage rooting all the way back in year 1605. It a rich story of discovering a.community, starting up a mission, to finding the place to build the church, destruction, restoration and competition for a diocese seat that lives until today.

With it’s amazing arts and architecture, this is a must visit in Lipa City not only for prayer but also to have your instagram-worthy poses to be taken.

Liam’s Lomi

After mesmerizing the beauty and serenity of the cathedral, it’s time to get our stomach filled with Lipa’s trending food.

I haven’t heard of Liams’s Lomi but upon seeing the influx of crowd when we arrived, I knew that I am expecting a great treat! Getting to Liam’s Lomi from the Cathedral is a bit of a challenge using your private vehicle if you do not know the ins and outs of Lipa’s outskirts but since we have a local with us, we have outsmarted the weekend traffic.

As we fell in line and wait for our turn to order, my eyes were looking around the favorable reactions of people eating with great appetite and I got more excited to try a meal for myself. Upon finishing our different flavors of Lomi, pork barbecue, and special fried rice, we all agreed that Liam’s Lomi deserves its reputation as the best Lomi in town. After eating Lomi, we got some treats from Agatha’s just across the street which is famous for their cream puffs.

With their big servings and reasonable price, Liam’s Lomi is another must try for a food trip when in Lipa.

The Outlets

The Outlets has already opened Phase 1 of it’s loop offering international and homegrown fashion, sports and lifestyle brands offering very attractive discounts. The Outlets has already opened Phase 1 of it’s loop offering

As we are overloaded with lavish treats for lunch, we needed to burn some calories so we head over to The Outlets to walk around and check out this another emerging lifestyle hub in Lipa.

Though only Phase 1 of its Loop has been operational, there are already branded shops that would need your pockets ready for the wonderful discounts and deals you will find. Despite the temptations, we did a great job to hold on to our self-control and spending disciplines.

There are also Parkade which gives fresh air, lush greens, peace, and tranquility to visitors as well as a full-sized professional level football field complete with a grandstand and locker rooms.

Though there are more places and lifestyle hubs to explore, we decided to call it a day and head back to Tagaytay to continue our weekend adventure together with other South Bloggers who also had their mission to #DiscoverBeautiful around different COHO sites in the country.

The Orchard COHO is indeed set to emerge as The Lifestyle Center in Lipa City, a perfect abode for the young professionals, a wise investment project for the business people, and a perfect choice for those considering an urban living outside the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila.

  4. It might actually be nice to live in a place like this! The city is toxic, but can be a little nostalgic. This has the best of both worlds. Now, if only my work is also near there, i would happily get a place. Hahaha
